2024 Albany Tulip Queen finalists announced
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan announced the five finalists for 2024's Tulip Queen on Friday. The winner will be crowned at the Albany Tulip Festival on May 11 at noon by Mayor Sheehan and 2023 Tulip Queen Olivia Owens on the Lakehouse Stage.
The finalists were selected from a pool of nominees submitted by the community. They were then hand-chosen by a committee of local leaders after an extensive interview process.
All five contenders will collaborate on community service initiatives as the 2024 Albany Tulip Court. This year's finalists are detailed below:

- Shayla Farris, 22, from Albany
- Ryleigh Hotaling, 18, from Delmar
- Julianna Tourangeau, 19, from Selkirk
- Naishaly Velez Galan, 22, from Albany
Tulip Festival will be held at Washington Park in Albany on May 11 and May 12. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
