BTCC 2024 BTCC Round 2 - Brands Hatch
BARC event page - https://www.barc.net/event/toca-race...ndy-may-11-12/
We re back with option tyres for this one (soft being the option, medium the normal) but with the new rules that mean drivers who finish in the top ten in race 1 must use the hardest available compound for race.
- if you use softs in race 1 then you only have mediums for races 2 & 3 regardless of race 1 result.
- if you use mediums in race 1 and finish in the top ten then it's mediums for race 2 and softs for race 3.
- if you use mediums in race 1 and finish 11th or lower then you can use softs in either race 2 or race 3, and mediums in the other race.
It's also the first time will see the new 'Quick Six' format qualifying together with success hybrid penalties. Brands Hatch is such a short circuit that qualifying is likely to see the entire field covered by less than a seconds. Maybe a few surprises in store.
TRAVEL REMINDER
M25 will be closed between junctions 9 (A243 Leatherhead) and 10 (A3 Wisley) from 9pm Fri until 6am Mon. There's a 19 mile diversion in place so allow extra time if travelling that direction
