'Yeahhhh': Internet mocks Trump for saying he 'can't testify' because of gag order
While Donald Trump fumes about his "conflicted" hush money judge's "unconstitutional" gag order — he appears to be struggling to comprehend the meaning of the word "testify."
This was on display when he appeared after Thursday's trial to rail yet again against the formal edict to keep out of his mouth shut when it comes to comments about jurors, witnesses, court staff, and kin. But this time he added a twist: the gag order now appears to have become so powerful it is forbidding from answering questions under oath on the witness stand.
"I'm not allowed to testify," crowed former President Donald Trump in the corridor of 100 Centre Street courtroom. "I'm under a gag order. Right?"

He looked over to his left where his lead counsel Todd Blanche who appeared to grin and half-nod.
"No, we're going to be appeal the gag order," Trump said.
The former president is under a narrow gag order, yes, but there is nothing in its substance that prevents him from testifying at his trial. And he has gone on record multiple times saying that he wants to testify.
All I can do is tell the truth,” said Trump on the steps of Mar-a-Lago days before his trial began.
The 45th president is charged in the case with 34 counts of falsifying business records related to payments to porn star Stormy Daniels to buy her silence in the lead-up to the 2016 election.
The response to Trump's new unfounded claim that he is being gagged in court from being able to testify was blistering.
"The new talking point for why he'll go back on his word and not take the stand most likely," wrote @SueSandersHere.
"Victim card much," asked @Joeinchi.
Trump continued to talk in circles about his being mandated by the judge to stay silent — again without any basis.
"But I'm not allowed to testify because this judge who is so conflicted; has me under an unconstitutional gag order."
"Nobody has ever had that before and we don't like it and it's not fair."
Trump reminded the public he's the Republican Party nominee for president and leading Biden "by a lot" and so he wondered "I'm not allowed to talk?"
Trump continued: "There's never been abuse like this before; this conflicted judge ought to get out of this case. He should not be having this case. He gives you nothing. It's such a rigged court. So I'm not allowed to testify because of an unconstitutional gag order."
He says that they are appealing the order.
"His atty should have said right then when Trump looked at him no you can testify if you want to," reads a post from Seraphina Spang.
