Chatham Brewing wins Best NY Burger competition
CHATHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Chatham Brewing's "Loaded Brewery Burger" was crowned the winner of the New York Beef Council's eighth annual Best NY Burger competition. The burger is served on a toasted sweet roll with a locally-raised beef patty, white cheddar mac-n-cheese, Applewood bacon, and molasses barbecue.
After the Top 10 eateries from around New York were announced, 19 judges went to each restaurant to score the burgers. The New York Beef Council said Chatham Brewing's burger was the clear favorite among the judges.
"Thank you to all of our loyal customers for your support and the New York Beef Council for this honor," wrote Chatham Brewing on Facebook.
This year, Chatham Brewing was the only Capital Region restaurant to make the Top 10. In 2023, Syracuse’s Ale ‘n Angus Pub won the Best NY Burger competition with their “Bacon Grilled Cheeseburger."
"While Chatham Brewing celebrates its victory, commendations are also extended to all participating restaurants for their outstanding contributions to New York's vibrant culinary landscape," said the New York Beef Council. "Each establishment showcased the finest beef burgers, serving as ambassadors for the state's thriving food culture."
