Ben Folds to take requests by paper airplane during November UB show
AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Acclaimed songwriter and pianist Ben Folds is coming to the UB Center for the Arts for a solo show later this year.
It's part of his Paper Airplane Request Tour, where audience members will make song requests via paper airplanes.
“The last time I did this on tour the response was overwhelming, with literally hundreds of paper airplanes with song requests being launched on cue from fans at the start of the second half of each of my concerts,” Folds said. “It’s the purest, most low-tech form of engagement that creates a special bond with my audiences.”
Tickets for the November 7 show range from $50-$90 and go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. Those interested in attending can get tickets on Ticketmaster or the Center for the Arts box office.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
