Re: Porzingis: KP suffered the same injury that is currently keeping Giannis sidelined. As I mentioned then, the soleus is a part of the calf muscle complex. The average time lost for strains specified as a soleus injury is ~17 days (6 games). Read more here: – 5:07 PM

Horford was hoping for the best. But in the moments after Porziņģis called for a sub and limped off the court, Horford already was steeling himself for the coming challenge. That challenge further crystallized Tuesday when the Celtics announced Porziņģis’ diagnosis, a right soleus strain. Though he avoided a more threatening issue, such as a dreaded Achilles injury, the calf problem could keep him on the shelf for a while. According to InStreetClothes.com, an injury resource, soleus strains come with an average time lost of approximately 17 days. If the Celtics finish off the Miami Heat in the first round, that timeline would sideline Porziņģis for most of the second round, if not all of it.
