92-ton medical shipment arrives in Afghanistan
The organization Save the Children has announced that an airplane carrying 92 tons of medicine has arrived in Afghanistan.
On Tuesday, April 30th, this organization stated in a press release that simultaneously with the delivery of this medical shipment in Afghanistan, more than 675 people in the country will gain access to medical assistance.
According to Save the Children, approximately 400,000 children will have access to medication for treatment simultaneously with this aid.
According to the announcement by this organization, the value of medical assistance is estimated at almost $590,000, and this aid has been donated by the Dutch Relief Alliance, the humanitarian aid of the European Union, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, the United States Agency for International Development, and other organizations.
The organization has stated that the airplane carrying 92 tons of medicine has been sent to Afghanistan following an increase in preventable diseases.
Meanwhile, this organization also says that recently, respiratory infections and measles have increased among children in Afghanistan.
