Novato investigators debunk explosive allegations
Novato High School went into a “shelter in place” mode Monday while police investigated a report of a potential explosive device on campus.
Police discovered that the device was an antique grenade used as a teaching exhibit.
“It was determined the device was inactive and brought on campus to be used in a guest presentation for a history class,” the Police Department said in a released statement. “The speaker uses the device in their explanation and demonstration of a war experience.”
