Collar Works receives $960k for renovations
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The New York State Council of the Arts (NYSCA) awarded Collar Works $960,000 for renovations of a historic foundry into a multi-arts center in Troy. This grant comes as a part of NYSCA's capital project funding going toward 102 projects in New York and totaling over $32 million.
The Neemes Foundry at 206 First Street will be renovated into a hub used for innovation and creativity to further Collar Works' mission to "foster and advance the full breadth of New York State’s arts, culture, and creativity for all." This renovation will allow the non-profit to meet artists' needs, support artists, and invest in the South Troy neighborhood.
