I’m a plastic surgeon – my personal anti-aging routine, people often forget about places that show wrinkles earlier
A CELEBRITY plastic surgeon has revealed the areas she focuses on for her personal anti-aging routine.
She revealed that most people overlook an area necessary for effective skincare.

The expert, who has set up her own skincare line, broke down all the items she swears by for her anti-aging efforts.
“I love to exfoliate with the microdermabrasion scrub to get the smooth texture which also helps clogged pores and comedones,” she explained.
The Microdermabrasion Scrub is available for $65 from the Dr. Lara Devgan brand.
“Following up on that, I particularly love our peptide eye cream and hyaluronic serum in the morning for improvement of skin quality and fine lines,” she said.
“Our peptide eye cream contains caffeine, green tea, and vitamin B5 to give the under eyes moisture and suppleness.
“With antioxidants from caffeine and green tea, it can help depuff and fix the under-eye bags.”
The $215 Peptide Eye Cream and $245 Hyaluronic Serum are also available from the site.
At night, the expert uses the $145 Vitamin CBE Ferulic, $300 Retinol Bakuchiol, and $220 Resveratrol Night Cream.
She explained the resveratrol night cream contains “amazing ingredients” such as resveratrol, green tea, peptides, ceramides, and cholesterol.
The product helps to support a healthy barrier function, gives you the antioxidants for the night, and pairs perfectly with retinol or an exfoliant.
“You wake up feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and glowing,” the doctor said.
The vitamin CBE ferulic serum “contains pure L-Ascorbic acid and vitamin B to help with moisture.”
“This is a perfect pairing with sunscreen to boost the efficacy of the sunscreen filters and further protect your skin from the sun,” the expert explained.
I highly recommend sleeping on your back to prevent any friction, pulling, and tugging of the skin.

When used alongside sunscreen as part of a balanced skincare routine, the product “can help with the appearance of wrinkles, dark spots, and under-eye bags, while maintaining glowing healthy skin.”
She also recommended incorporating strength training and weight-lifting exercises into your workout routine.
“As we age, our bones naturally lose density and mass, therefore, losing the natural shape or structure of our faces,” she explained.
The skincare pro added that she does her best to sleep on her back every night to prevent wrinkles from forming on her face.
“I highly recommend sleeping on your back to prevent any friction, pulling, and tugging of the skin,” she said.
“Adding on to that, when you wash your face in the morning or at night, please be gentle with your skin and do not tug and pull your face with the towel you use.”
FORGOTTEN AREA
The skincare expert explained that an effective anti-aging routine needs to focus on more than just the face.
“We tend to prioritize the skin on our faces a lot but people often forget the skin on their neck, decolletage, chest, and back of their hands,” she said.
“Those areas are naturally thinner and show signs of aging earlier than the skin on our face.”
She recommended consistently applying skincare products to those thinner areas of the skin as well.
The health professional also emphasized the importance of having a good balanced diet, exercising and building muscle mass, managing stress, and limiting sugar intake to prevent glycation on the skin.
