Five beauty secrets Elizabeth Hurley, 58, swears by to look decades younger as fans reckon she’s a ‘vampire’

ELIZABETH Hurley has fans convinced that she’s a “vampire” after stunning in a bikini at the Maldives. 

But the 58-year-old credits her age-defying appearance to five key beauty secrets that she’s sworn by for 40 years.

The British actress and model flaunted her toned figure in a black string bikini on Instagram earlier this week.

Sharing a video of her strutting around a beach in the Maldives, sparking a flurry of comments from admirers. 

“She can’t be human. How does she not age?” Lyss Roden asked.

“She literally just gets better as she ages”

“You look like you are in your twenties,” Kimball Orwoll quipped.

“How is that possible?”

Other fans joked that Elizabeth “must be a vampire” and joked that “her genetics need to be studied”. 

But the star has previously insisted that her Benjamin Button appearance is down to her five beauty secrets – four of which are free to execute. 

Here, Fabulous takes a look at what she has to say…

MOISTURISE 10X A DAY

Elizabeth moisturises a whopping 10 times a day. Yes, you read that right. 

And while this might seem like an eye-watering amount for the average person, the mum-of-one “swears by it”

“The one thing I swear by is moisturiser—and lots of it,” she told Woman & Home in 2018.

“I’ll moisturise my face about six times a day and my neck about 10 times a day. 

“Lightly dab it over your face and it instantly makes you glow.”

CLEAN EATING QUEEN

It’s bad news for chocolate lovers – Elizabeth doesn’t keep processed foods in her home. 

She lives by the mantra that “you are what you eat” and opts to only eat “natural, easy food”. 

“I like simple, natural, easy food,” she told The Cut. 

“I don’t really like food with a lot of chemicals or additives

“When I’m at home in the country, I always try and eat food that’s grown locally; that goes for meats and vegetables.”

HYDRATION STATION

You’re not just what you eat, but also what you drink. 

Elizabeth makes a conscious effort to stay on top of her hydration levels to maintain her youthful appearance.

Not only does she keep a water bottle in her bag and on her bedside table at all times, she also drinks two mugs of warm water every morning.

“It tastes fairly disgusting,” she admitted. 

“But it’s fantastic for your digestive system.”

How ultra processed is YOUR kitchen?

Ultra processed foods (UPFs) were defined by Brazilian researchers who made the NOVA classification system. It breaks foods into groups depending on how processed they are. The most natural foods are in group 1, while the most processed are in group 4.

The groups do not entirely indicate how healthy a food is. However, it does indicate how processed it is – and studies have linked UPFs to a number of diseases.

How does your kitchen compare to the following groups?

Unprocessed or minimally processed foods (group 1)

  • vegetables and fruits (fresh or frozen)
  • dried fruits with no added sugar, honey, or oil
  • grains and legumes (chickpeas, lentils)
  • meat, poultry, fish, seafood, eggs
  • milk without added sugar
  • plain yogurt with no added sugar
  • nuts and seeds
  • spices and herbs
  • tea, coffee, water

Processed culinary ingredients (group 2)

  • iodized salt
  • salted butter
  • sugar and molasses from cane or beet
  • honey extracted from combs
  • syrup from maple trees
  • vegetable oils crushed from olives or seeds
  • butter and lard from milk and pork
  • starches extracted from corn and other plants
  • vegetable oils with added anti-oxidants
  • vinegar with added preservatives

Processed foods (group 3)

  • canned vegetables, fruits, and legumes
  • fruits in syrup
  • salted or sugared nuts and seeds
  • salted cured or smoked meats
  • canned fish
  • artisanal breads and cheese

Ultra-processed foods (group 4)

  • pop and fruit drinks
  • sweetened yogurt
  • sweet or savoury packaged snacks (e.g., cookies)
  • candies and cake mixes
  • mass-produced packaged breads and buns
  • margarines and spreads
  • breakfast cereals
  • cereal and energy bars
  • energy drinks
  • instant soups, sauces, and noodles
  • poultry and fish nuggets, hot dogs
  • many ready-to-heat products: pre-prepared pies, pasta, and pizza dishes

BEAUTY SLEEP

Doctors have been hailing a good night sleep as key to glowing skin for a while – and it’s another thing that Elizabeth swears by. 

Not only does she focus on quality kip to rejuvenate her skin, but she also credits it to helping her have an overall balanced lifestyle. 

‘I’ve learned how to rest when I need to rest,” she told Today. 

“I understand that I need to do a bit of exercise. I understand about eating healthily. 

“I’ve understood about not smoking. I’ve understood about limiting alcohol intake.”

HOLY GRAIL PRODUCT

With Elizabeth being an Estée Lauder spokesmodel since 1995, it makes sense that her go-to product is from the beauty giant. 

She says that she couldn’t live without the £65 Advanced Night Repair Serum.

“I think I’ve been lucky because I’ve been with the company for 24 years so I’ve had really good products at my fingertips — and I use a lot of them,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle. 

“My most favourite product of all has always been Advanced Night Repair.

“It is a serum that I was given my first bottle of when I first joined the company in 1995, and I’ve used it religiously twice a day ever since.”
