Confirmed Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Burnley, Antony starts, Rashford missing
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has named his starting line-up for today’s Premier League clash against Burnley at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils ended a four-match winless streak in the top-flight on Wednesday with a 4-2 comeback triumph over Sheffield United.
Bruno Fernandes was the stand-out performer with two goals and an assist. The fans will be hoping that he can continue his sparkling form.
Ahead of today’s game, Ten Hag has named an unchanged XI from the previous game.
Andre Onana continues in goal with the same back four.
Casemiro will partner Harry Maguire at the heart of the defence with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot occupying the right and left-back positions respectively.
Kobbie Mainoo and Christian Eriksen retain their places in the centre of the park. Eriksen struggled for ball control against the Blades, but he has got the nod over Scott McTominay.
The front line remains the same too. Bruno Fernandes will start from the number 10 role with Antony and Alejandro Garnacho retaining their starting positions out wide.
Rasmus Hojlund will lead the attack against the Clarets. The Dane has the position for himself with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial sidelined with injuries as the moment.
Confirmed Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Burnley: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro, Maguire, Dalot; Mainoo, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund.
United are currently sixth in the standings with 53 points and they have the chance to strengthen their Europa League qualification hopes with a victory over the Clarets.
Ten Hag will be hoping for a convincing win with a clean sheet. The Red Devils have not managed to shut out their opponents in their last seven games in all competitions.
