Portal Update: Where The Former Blue Devils May Be Heading
Sean Stewart is still exploring his post-Duke options and one school we hadn’t seen listed is Cincinnati.
But the former Blue Devil is checking the Bearcats out this weekend. He’s also interested in Ohio State apparently.
The Buckeyes recently promoted former assistant Jake Diebler to head coach. He was the interim after taking over from Chris Holtmann, who was fired during the season.
Cincinnati of course is coached by former UNC Tar Heel Wes Miller who was terrific at UNC-G and has done well at Cincinnati also.
Basketball wise, the Buckeyes are in the Big Ten which is the most boring league in the country. Cincinnati recently moved to the Big 12 which is a much better basketball conference. His last season in the AAC, Cincinnati finished 23-13 and in his first Big 12 campaign, the Bearcats were 22-15.
As for TJ Power, these schools are apparently all after him: Arkansas, Kentucky, Michigan, BYU, Wake Forest, USC, Miami, Notre Dame,West Virginia, Boston College and Iowa and Jaden Schutt is hearing from Butler, Creighton, Dayton, Davidson, DePaul, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn, State, St. Louis, St. Mary’s, UCF, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
Christian Reeves meanwhile has a visit scheduled to Mississippi State where he would play for the disreputable Chris Jans. Hopefully he has better options.
