UAlbany students take part in FBI special agent physical fitness test
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Do you have what it takes to be an FBI agent? Some University at Albany students were able to find out on Friday.
During a first of its kind recruiting event, students got the chance to take part in the FBI's physical fitness test that is needed to become a special agent.
"It's a battery of four tests. Push ups, sit ups, a 300-meter run and a mile and a half," Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albany Field Office Craig Tremaroli said. "It's physically demanding, and it's very challenging. And so my hopes are, when they see all four of these events put together in the order and then they can say, 'wow, this is a difficult test,' and it should be. This is to become an FBI Special Agent."
Students said it isn't easy to meet the qualifications.
"I feel like it's a very humbling experience because I thought it'd be a little easier, but it's definitely not easy as you think," UAlbany senior Fausto Brito said.
"I think I did better than I was expecting, but there's definitely a lot of room for improvement," UAlbany senior Molly Bisceglin said.
"We're recruiting. We're hiring. This is the future of the FBI," Tremaroli said.
