Gamethread: Rays at White Sox
Time to break more bad records, but the good news is that it will be in a game you might not be able to watch
The White Sox are back home to take on the tied-in-last-place Rays. Don’t let that last part fool you, though. The Rays are sitting right at .500, and just four games back from first in arguably the toughest division.
Ahead of the game, the White Sox made some interesting moves:

Veteran outfielder Rafael Ortega, who did not make the roster after a full spring training with the team, got the call-up from Charlotte. This move would’ve been great in 2021, alas, he’s here now. Tommy Pham is also making his White Sox debut tonight. Another player who peaked in 2018 — but he’s a VETERAN PLAYER, so that must mean he’s good, right?
With all that said, the team sent rookie Dominic Fletcher (who has shown more hustle than half the team) down to Charlotte and DFA’d Kevin Pillar and Bailey Horn.
Here is how the White Sox are lining up tonight with Chris Flexen on the bump:

I can’t wait to see an outfield consisting of Tommy Pham, Robbie Grossman, and Andrew Benintendi! Gonna be F.A.S.T.
To add insult to injury, you can only watch the game on Apple TV+, starting at 6:40 P.M. CT.
#FridayNightBaseball is here. Watch live tonight on @AppleTV.

If you would rather listen, the game is available on ESPN Chicago at 1000 AM and Univision Sports Radio at 1200 AM.
I’ll be back to recap the horrors or celebrate a rare win postgame.
