Police investigating two shootings in Albany
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany Police Department announced they are investigating two separate shootings that occurred on Thursday night. The victims of both incidents reportedly sustained non-life threatening injuries.
On April 25 around 7:20 p.m., police were notified by staff at Albany Medical Center that a 21-year-old man was being treated for gunshot wounds to his hand and upper thigh. Further investigation revealed that the victim had been shot while outside with a group near the 600 block of Clinton Avenue.
Officers then responded to the report of a shooting near Grand Street and Madison Avenue around 11:43 p.m., where police found a 61-year-old woman whose neck had been grazed by a bullet. The victim was tended to on the scene by emergency medical personnel.
