IF you’re someone who struggles with thin hair, a certain style may be able to help.
A professional hair stylist revealed the best cuts for a fuller look and one to avoid at all costs.
Haircare expert and stylist Rossano Ferretti spoke exclusively to The U.S. Sun about the best ways to style thinning hair.
First, Ferretti discussed the importance of taking care of your locks, especially when you notice them beginning to thin out.
“The effects of hair thinning or hair loss can be mitigated or reduced over time with a carefully curated haircare routine,” he explained.
While he said controlling the impact of hair loss can be complicated, the expert insisted that with the right products anyone “can stimulate healthy hair.”
Ferretti added that a specifically curated routine can lead to hair that is less prone to thinning, fallout, and breakage.
As well as a healthy hair routine, he recommended incorporating certain hairstyles into your rotation to promote volume.
“Add movement and dimension to thin and flat hair by texturizing it,” he said.
“Change how you style your hair, and you can swiftly plump up your look.”
Ferretti broke down his best tips and tricks for giving your hair a fuller look.
“You can tease your tresses at the crown to ‘lift”’ your roots,” he advised.
He also recommended blow drying your hair with your head tilted downwards.
According to Ferretti, this can help your lock defy gravity and increase volume.
“Another trick is to use a diffuser,” he explained.
“You can also ask your hairstylist for personalized hairstyle ideas that will make your locks appear fuller.”
Make sure to avoid deep side parts which can accentuate thinning.

Ferretti’s go-to style suggestion for a fuller more voluminous appearance is a layered cut.
“Layered cuts add texture and movement, making your hair look fuller,” he said.
However, he warned anyone trying to disguise thinning hair to steer clear of a popular style.
“Make sure to avoid deep side parts which can accentuate thinning,” he advised.
