NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms can bring torrential downpours, large hail,
damaging wind gusts and tornadoes from northwestern Missouri
to northeastern Texas tomorrow. The highest risk is expected
to exist from eastern Kansas to central Oklahoma. There will
be a significant risk of large hail, damaging winds and
tornadoes overnight in southeastern Kansas and northeastern
Oklahoma. Farther north, hail and damaging winds will be the
primary hazards from Iowa to the western Upper Peninsula of
Michigan. Gusty winds, low humidity and dry brush will
result in a high fire threat for central and eastern New
Mexico and West Texas. Showers and embedded thunderstorms
are forecast to affect much of the central Rockies, with
snow at the highest elevations. A couple of showers will
dampen much of New York and Pennsylvania.
