Albany hosts shredding and book recycling event
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Residents of the city of Albany can shred secure documents and recycle books Thursday night at Washington Park Lake House. Albany's Department of General Services will host the free event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
No registration is required and participants should park at the Madison Avenue entrance. They're having another shredding and book recycling event on Saturday, October 19 from 1 to 4 p.m., again at Washington Park Lake House.
Coming up, the city will have several household hazardous waste disposal events. They'll take place at the Rapp Road Landfill from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sign up online or call (518) 434-2489 to register for one of the events below:
