NYSP investigating human remains found in Patterson
PATTERSON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — State police announced that they're investigating human remains that were located in Patterson, Putnam County. Excavation work at the site of a home being built in town uncovered the remains, according to law enforcement.
Investigators confirmed that the unidentified remains belong to a white woman between 16 and 28 years old with extensive dental work. Police said that they believe the victim died over a decade ago.
According to state police and the Carmel Police Department, the collected DNA sample does not match the profile of Robin Murphy. She went missing from Putnam County in 1995.
