Preview: St Johnstone (A)
Read the full match preview as the Hibees head to Perth to play St Johnstone this weekend.
Nick Montgomery’s side travel to McDiarmid Park this Saturday (27 April, 3pm kick-off) in the first of our final five post-split matches.
After a disappointing draw with Motherwell last time out, it meant we missed out on a top-six finish, and we currently sit seventh in the table with 39 points from 33 games.
The hosts, St Johnstone, sit tenth on 31 points – just one point clear of Ross County in the Relegation Play-Off spot.
TEAM NEWS
Hibs come into this one fresh having not played last weekend, and the extra week has given time to some players to get back up to fitness.
Josh Campbell played his first game of 2024 last time out, making his 100th Hibs appearance and will likely be involved again on Saturday.
Nick Montgomery will provide a full injury update when he speaks to the press on Friday afternoon.
THE HOSTS
The Saints have picked up four points from the last 15 available, with their latest result a 2-0 defeat at home to Kilmarnock a fortnight ago.
This is the fourth meeting between the teams this season, with the Hibees winning the first encounter 2-0 back in September.
Craig Levein’s side have got the better of us on the last two occasions winning 1-0 at McDiarmid Park in December, before snatching a 2-1 win at Easter Road earlier this month.
