Manchester United defeated Sheffield United by 4-2 in the Premier League, courtesy of a splendid performance from Bruno Fernandes.
Man United dominated the proceedings, but the visitors broke the deadlock against the run of the play.
The Red Devils bounced back through an excellent finish from Harry Maguire. Score parity lasted only eight minutes as the Blades took advantage of Man United’s weakness in defending cut-backs.
Goals from the penalty spot and a stunning long-range strike from Fernandes put Erik ten Hag’s men ahead.
Rasmus Hojlund scored the fourth goal for the Red Devils to ensure there are no late comebacks from Sheffield United.

Andre Onana – 4/10
The shot-stopper played a sloppy pass to Dalot that ultimately turned out to be an assist to Jayden Bogle.
Diogo Dalot – 6/10
Dalot made a great run behind Sheffield United’s back-line but failed to keep his composure against the goalkeeper. He was guilty of losing the ball before the Blades’ second goal.
Harry Maguire – 8/10
The England international continues to be one of very few United players in good form. He brought his side back with a fantastic glancing header before half-time.
Casemiro – 7/10
A fine performance from the midfielder, playing out of position as a centre-back.
His fine ball distribution showed why it is pivotal for defenders to be good with the ball at their feet.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 6/10
A much more reasonable shift from the former Crystal Palace man compared to his last outing.
Christian Eriksen – 5/10
He should have stopped the cut-back through which Sheffield United scored their second goal.
Kobbie Mainoo – 7/10
The 18-year-old played in a more advanced position with Eriksen filling as a number six. He enjoyed some nice link-up play and earned an assist for Fernandes’ magical goal.
Bruno Fernandes – 9/10
A captain’s performance from Bruno Fernandes.
He emphatically scored from the spot to bring United level for the second time. He pulled strings from the midfield and scored a spectacular long-range strike to put his team ahead.
His night was not done yet as he set the goal for Rasmus Hojlund beautifully.
Alejandro Garnacho – 7/10
The youngster squandered two big chances to score which could have calmed some early nerves for the hosts. He showed a tremendous defensive work-rate whenever called upon.
Antony – 5/10
The Brazilian was heavily involved in the first half but didn’t show any end product. Ten Hag was correct in hooking him off before the hour mark.
Rasmus Hojlund – 6/10
Hojlund continued to struggle in front but the late goal would have boosted his confidence.
