'You're not dumb, you're insulting!' Sparks fly on Fox News set over Trump 'lies'
Fox News guest host Charles Payne clashed with co-host Leslie Marshall over the difference between President Joe Biden's misstatements and former President Donald Trump's false claims.
After pointing out that Biden had misspoken during a speech in Washington, D.C., Payne argued that critics had different standards for the two candidates — and that Biden was being criticized as much as he should be.
"You know, it's interesting because I saw someone complaining about Donald Trump exaggerating," Payne said on Wednesday's episode of Outnumbered. "There's a big difference between exaggerating and just lying. Now, maybe his memory, but it's one after another."
"No one knows about this unless they watch Fox or a couple other smaller networks," he continued. "And he's reading this stuff [and] is still getting it wrong."
Marshall suggested there was a difference between Trump and Biden.
"Well, the first thing when you said this difference between exaggeration and a lie, I just had to say, 'I won the election... You know, it was rigged,'" she said, quoting Trump. "Those are some lies. And I could go on and on."

"Look... from my perspective, whenever Joe Biden messes up a word, I hear about — I hear about [it] across the board," she explained. "I don't hear the same with former President Trump this morning."
As an example of confusion in speech, Marshall recalled she had recently said "Pakistan" when she meant "Palestine."
Payne exploded at Marshall over the comparison.
"When people talk to me and us like we're dumb, what you're making is such a dumb example!" he said. "We're not talking about you or me or her, anyone making an occasional gaffe! We're talking about gaffe after gaffe after gaffe!"
"I don't think you're dumb; I don't appreciate you calling me dumb," Marshall pushed back.
"No, you're not dumb, you're insulting!" Payne exclaimed. "Gaffe after gaffe after gaffe after gaffe after gaffe! It's ridiculous!"
