A TRADITIONAL housewife has sworn off pants after adopting a more modest look.
She decided to switch up her style after realizing she wasn’t dressing for herself.
In her viral video, Ashley (@herblessedhome) gave her followers a “little chat about modesty.”
The TikToker explained that she stopped wearing pants shortly after she was “saved” in 2018.
When reading the Bible, Ashley recalls her “conviction” to start dressing more modestly.
She explained that for her, dressing modestly meant she no longer would wear pants.
“Modesty looks different for everyone but for me, I took a hard look at what I was wearing and the why behind it,” Ashley said.
“This was super important because it led me to realize that I was dressing in certain ways to attract attention, whether I knew it or not.”
She told her followers that she wanted to keep focus on God and not herself or her body.
Ashley pointed out that today’s fashion is “eye-catching” and “seductive.”
After realizing that her wardrobe didn’t align with her beliefs, she decided to revamp her entire look.
Despite her strong beliefs, Ashley said she isn’t using her platform to shame or persuade others to follow her lead.
She said she “simply felt called” to begin dressing in a more modest way.
Ashley clarified that there have been a handful of occasions where she has allowed herself a rule break.
She explained that some outdoor activities such as horseback riding required her to wear pants.
The homemaker also revealed that she does not follow the so-called rules in the privacy of her own house.

She told her audience that she just wanted to be an example of a good Christian.
While she practices her faith in a variety of different ways it is her appearance that has garnered her the most attention online.
Ashley’s followers shared their thoughts on her modest style in the comments section.
“I found that [when] wearing dresses and skirts I was more sexualized by men, now I wear pants,” wrote one viewer.
“It’s not about others. It’s about her intentions. She felt that she had the intention of wanting attention or gratification when she wore pants,” pointed out another TikTok user.
