FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Tuesday Night,
It has been a cloudy day with near normal temps today ahead of a cold front that will push into our area this evening into the overnight hours. Expect rain showers possible for the first half of the night tonight, with winds becoming breezy to gusty as the cold front pushes through, lows will be near normal in the upper 40s.
Wednesday, we will be post cold front with a brisk west to northwest flow, and mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies, with slow clearing through the day. Temps will struggle back into the middle 50s with a colder airmass in place for this time of the year. Expect clearing skies, light winds, and a cold start for Thursday with temps down near freezing.
The NWS has already issued Freeze Watches for parts of our area for Thursday morning, and frost advisories will likely be needed in areas where freeze watches/warnings are not in effect as lows will drop into the lower 30s to upper 20s outside the city for Thursday morning.
Thursday will be a mostly sunny, and still a slightly brisk day with highs into the lower 60s. Winds will start to shift around Thursday night with not as cold air expected to start Friday near 40. Friday will see sunshine early, and temps soaring into the lower 70s with rain showers with a warm front lifting north late on Friday.
Showers will be possible for the first half of the day on Saturday, but not a washout. Expect breezy conditions and very mild temps in the upper 70s on Saturday. We should see partly sunny skies, with a warm south breeze on Sunday with highs in the lower 80s.
We will still see warm conditions on Monday ahead of the cold front next week. Temps will be in the upper 70s to near 80 on Monday with scattered t-showers possible. Rain chances will increase Monday night into Tuesday morning with the front moving through. Temps will cool back to normal on Tuesday afternoon in the 60s behind the front.
