Albany Symphony presents tiny tot concerts
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Children will have a chance to take part in an interactive school performance of Peter and the Wolf: Tiny Tots from the Albany Symphony. Three separate performances will bring kids on a musical adventure in Albany on April 30 and May 1, and in Saratoga on May 2.
Peter and the Wolf is a classic fairytale for kids by Sergei Prokofiev. Children between the ages of 18 months and 7 years old are invited to take part in the tradition. The orchestra has worked with the volunteer organization, Vanguard, for over 30 years to make the show come to life.
Music Director David Alan Miller said the Tiny Tot concerts are among the most fun and exciting concerts they play. "Peter and the Wolf is the perfect way to introduce kids to the wonders of the orchestra and the incredible, unique sounds of all the instruments," he said.
