Massachusetts murder suspect arrested at Albany Airport
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Massachusetts man wanted on a murder charge by the Greenfield, Massachusetts Police Department was arrested at Albany International Airport on Tuesday, according to the Albany County Sheriff's Office. Taaniel Herberger-Brown, 42, was charged as a fugitive from justice.
On April 23 at 12:22 a.m., the Albany County Sheriff's Office was contacted by Massachusetts State Police and the Greenfield Police Department asking to search the area near Albany International for a suspect in an ongoing death investigation in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Deputies were able to find Herberger-Brown's vehicle in a parking garage, and after reviewing surveillance camera footage, officers located Herberger-Brown inside the airport on the non-secure side and took him into custody.
Herberger-Brown was arraigned at the Town of Colonie Criminal Court. He was remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility pending extradition proceedings in Albany County Court.
