Afternoon Briefing: 14-year-old charged in shooting that fatally wounded 17-year-old
Good afternoon, Chicago.
A 14-year-old boy was charged in a fatal shooting in March in the South Loop neighborhood that killed a 17-year-old boy and wounded a 15-year-old, police said.
The boy, whose name was not released due to his age, was arrested Monday in the 100 block of South Central Park Avenue after he was identified as the person who fatally wounded Jeremy L. Smith, 17, during a teen takeover in the South Loop, officials said.
