I talk to my daughter in a made up language no one can understand – people are confused but it’s so useful
A MUM has revealed that she talks to her daughter in a made up language that no one else can understand, and explained why this is really helpful when they are in certain situations.
Cher Hubsher shared details of her secret hack via a video posted to her TikTok channel.
The mum said that her four year old can speak English perfectly, but revealed that she has also chosen to teach her ‘gibberish’.
Cher explained that to speak ‘gibberish’ you have to put the sound “idag” between the syllables of words and in front of the A E I O U U sounds.
So, for example, Sun is ‘Sidagun’ and Sunny is ‘Sidadunidagy’.
Cher revealed that by following this pattern, she and her daughter are able to have entire conversations, without anyone else being able to understand what they are saying.
She said that she taught her daughter to speak like this, so that if they are out and they really need to tell each other something, they can do so without anyone else being able to understand them.
For example, if either of them is in danger, they can alert the other of this discreetly.
Cher also revealed that she enjoys speaking ‘gibberish’ as it is fun, and said that she used to use it as a code language to tell secrets to her friends when she was a child.
“When I was a kid I loved having a secret language that only me and my friends can understand, and you deserve to have one too”, she said.
Cher shares tutorials on her secret language to her TikTok channel, so that others can also learn the skill.
The mum’s video, which was posted under the username @cherhubsher has likely left many people open-mouthed, as it has racked up over 328,000 views on the video sharing platform.
TikTok users raced to the comments section to share their thoughts, and many were left confused by Cher’s secret language.
One person said: “You could sit there and explain it 5000000 times and I still don’t get it”
Another person said: “My brain like can’t find the vowels fast enough in each work to speak it lol”.
A third person said: “My brain just can’t get it!”
A fourth joked: “Stop teaching people.
“My sister and I won’t be able to speak in front of our husbands soon.”
