Mike Breen had an all-timer of a call on Donte DiVincenzo’s major 3-pointer for Knicks
When legendary NBA broadcaster Mike Breen breaks out the double ‘Bang!‘, you know it’s a special occasion.
During Monday night’s absolutely wild finish to the New York Knicks’ Game 2 home stand against the Philadelphia 76ers, Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo nailed a colossal 3-pointer with just about 13 seconds to go to give New York the lead (and spark the eventual win).
DiVincenzo’s very clutch trey got Breen fired up on the sideline as he let out a “Bang! Bang!” as the Madison Square Garden crowd loudly celebrated in the background.
If you’re a long-time fan of Breen’s commentary, you know this really is one of his finest calls with the pure excitement in his voice. He does not use the double ‘Bang!’ lightly.

This is as good as it gets for playoff basketball commentary, as Breen brought his A-game. We can only hope we get more moments like this throughout the rest of this year’s NBA postseason.
