Watervliet Little League opens Saturday, 70th season
WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- It has been 70 years since the founding of the Watervliet Little League and officials are gearing up to celebrate its inception on Saturday. The anniversary will be celebrated with a parade and an opening day ceremony.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Watervliet High School, travels north on 12th Avenue until turning east on 25th Street, and concludes at the baseball field of Brotherhood Park. The opening ceremony will introduce members of the 1954 team and throw the first pitch of the season.
