A RARE Ford Focus once described by Jeremy Clarkson as having “all the basis covered” has come up for a bargain price.
The ST, with its 2.5 litre turbo-charged Volvo engine, was an instant hit when it sped onto UK roads in 2007.

A 2007 model in racing red has now come up for sale on Car & Classic.
It’s got 78,509 miles on the clock, no modifications and boasts a radio CD player.
The car appears in mint condition, with sparkling interiors and seats that look brand new.
With electric windows, adjustable steering modes and 12 months MOT, it is not surprising Clarkson gave it rave reviews.
The listing reads: “Superb condition race red paintwork. Looks runs drives great.
“Only going up in value. A good drive. Good on the mileage.
“Full history. Service pack. Some invoices. No modifications.”
The was £17,000 when it hit the UK market, but this one can be all yours for just £5,995.
Data suggests there are only around 6,500 Ford Focus STs still licensed for UK roads.
Any vehicle over 10 years old is considered a classic, which can see some models rise in value.
The Sun found a bright orange ST with just 18,428 miles on the clock up for sale for £14,995 on Pistonheads.
Another with 117,000 miles on the same site is being flogged for just £3,500.
