Police investigating alleged stabbing at Yukon High School
YUKON, Okla. (KFOR) - Police are investigating after an alleged stabbing at Yukon High School Friday morning.
According to Yukon Public Schools, the high school went under lockdown following the incident.
"We were alerted this morning to an incident that happened in the parking lot of Yukon High School," said Deputy Chief John Brown with the Yukon Police Department. "A female teenager had been in an altercation with an adult male that is not a student here."
Officials say one student was injured during the altercation and is receiving medical attention. Authorities are on the scene searching for the person involved.
"We have received confirmation from local law enforcement that all our school sites are now secure. The police have successfully identified the individual involved in this morning’s incident and can confirm that it was not a current student. Importantly, they have confirmed that the individual is not present on any of our campuses." said Yukon Public Schools.
