“I thought I was hallucinating, all for under $25,” CrookedNinja wrote.
The Redditor posted a shot of the homeware finds in the trunk of the car.
They were several pieces of Le Creuset — a homeware brand known for its pricy and durable cast iron sets for cooking.
SOMETHING’S COOKING
Le Creuset’s website describes its products as nothing short of a “true original.”
“With an unrivaled selection of bold, rich colors in a range of finishes and materials,” the description reads.
“Le Creuset is the leader in highly-durable, chip-resistant enameled cast iron.”
The trendy kitchenware has made waves with cooking whizzes the world over.
CrookedNinja purchased the pieces in a bright orange color.
Le Creuset pieces typically have a full price range in the hundreds depending on the specific item.
The Redditor added that they “even left a few pieces for the next guy” to “share the luck.”
CROWD PLEASER
The kitchen finds at a steal drew in many more Redditors who shared their thoughts in the comment section.
“Where? These — in this color — my favorite color. I could rob you right now. Congrats on an amazing find,” one wrote.
“That is honestly so thoughtful. What a find. I paid more than that for my single tiny Martha Stewart. Will keep an eye out for a haul this good,” another added.
“It must be Marie Kondo making people get rid of stuff. Nice find,” said a third.
“Probably someones mother died and family didn’t realize what they had. They were probably thinking, ‘we’re getting rid of all of mom’s ancient pots and pans,'” yet another wrote.
“I agree,” one Redditor replied. “Many people who don’t cook would have no idea how expensive these pans are.”
Some expressed confusion as to why the kitchenware line from Le Creuset is so pricy.
“I always see people get crazy for these, can someone please explain their appeal? They sure do look nice — just not familiar with the product. Also, congrats on the find,” one said.
“Cast iron enamel coated cookware is known for its longevity, plus look at those colors,” CrookedNinja replied.
