Best Revolution pro dupes tried and tested: What to buy and the products that inspired them
Revolution Beauty was the first make-up brand I ever loved.
I spent my teens racing down to Superdrug, fiver in hand, ready to stock up on the latest Revolution make-up drop.
Years – and many beauty products – later, I’m still a huge Revolution fan and have even discovered several Revolution Pro dupes.
As a beauty writer, I’ve swatched and tested more make-up than I’d care to admit, but Revolution never fails to impress – especially when you consider how affordable the options are.
I’m a particularly big fan of Revolution Pro, which offers affordable, professional-standard, options across skincare and make-up.
Some Revolution Pro products are spookily similar to the internet’s most viral beauty products – including pricey skincare and MUA-approved make-up.
So, here’s the full line-up – just ensure you get your hands on them quickly as they tend to sell out fast.
Revolution Pro Iconic Matte Cream Blush Wand DUPE OF: Charlotte Tilbury Matte Blush Wand
Revolution Pro Iconic Matte Cream Blush Wand, £6.39
For years, I never wore blush.
I was terrified of leaving the house with strobes of unblended, rosy paint cast across my face.
However, after years of only trying powder blusher, I switched to game-changing, liquid blush, which I found was easier to use thanks to how blendable these formulas are, and easy to apply with liquid blush wands.
Revolution Pro’s Iconic Matte Cream Blush Wands make blusher application foolproof – simply stamp a couple of dots above your cheekbones before blending.
I usually skip blending with a brush (out of total laziness) and simply use my fingers to tap product into my skin, for a quick and easy airbrushed look.
These blush wands are available in three shades and are a known dupe for Charlotte Tilbury Matte Blush Wands (£30).
Whilst Revolution’s wands aren’t quite as pigmented as Charlotte Tilbruy’s offering (so you will need to apply a little more product) they will save you more than £22.
Revolution Pro Glossy Plump Lip Oil Mint DUPE OF: Fenty Gloss Bomb Ice Cooling Lip Luminizer Cold Heart’d
Revolution Pro Glossy Plump Lip Oil Mint, £5.60
One of the biggest trends I’ve seen over the past year is the rise in popularity of lip oils.
Whilst these formulas look almost identical to lip glosses, they’re far less sticky, longer-lasting and have a shiner, vinyl-like finish.
This Revolution Pro Glossy Plump Lip Oil Mint is no expectation and has a hydrating, glossy finish.
Formulated with vitamin E, the lightweight formula keeps lips happy and hydrated all day long – meaning no cracks or chapping, even during chilly weather.
And shoppers can’t help but notice the similarities between this lip oil and Gloss Bomb Ice Cold Heartd (£20) from Fenty – Rihanna’s very own beauty brand.
Shoppers loved the Fenty Lip Oil for its hydrating, minty-fresh formula, but they’re seeing similar results from the Revolution Pro oil, too.
One shopper raves, “Hydrating, leaves lips soft and I love the applicator which “hugs” lips upon application”, while another adds “Love this lip oil feels a lot more expensive than it is.”
Shoppers particularly love Revolution Pro’s packaging and applicator, with one saying “I like the applicator it looks like a squashed doe foot so you a good even application.”
Revolution Pro Eternal Rose Lip Oil Rosy DUPE OF: DIOR Addict Lip Glow Oil
Revolution Pro Eternal Rose Lip Oil Rosy, £5.60
Last year, there was one product everyone wanted: Dior Lip Glow Oil (£32).
This product quickly went viral for its colour-enhancing formula that promises long-lasting hydration.
The non-greasy formula gives lips a natural flush, so is perfect for on-the-go top-ups and great for applying over matte lipstick.
However, whilst fans love Dior’s Lip Oil, many have compared it to Revolution Pro Eternal Rose Lip Oil Rosy – which will set you back just £7.
Similar to Dior, this formula also has an ultra-hydrating formula, thanks to rose and jojoba oils, which help to keep lips soothed and moisturised.
The oil has amassed several rave reviews, with one shopper saying “Nice and light while adding moisture and a hint of colour”, while another adds “It is hydrating and a little goes a long way.”
This formula has a subtle, rosy hue, meaning it offers lips a bit of a lift without looking overly bold or unnatural – so great for the office.
Shoppers love the formula, with one saying “Leaves a nice shine and has a subtle rose scent,” adding “Consistency isn’t sticky [and] has a slight tint to it”.
Fans loved Dior’s chunky doe-foot applicator, and whilst Revolution’s offering isn’t quite as big, it’s great for precise application and adding subtle detail to your lip look.
Revolution Balm Glow DUPE OF: Jones Road Miracle Balm
Revolution Balm Glow, £4.79
Multi-use products are one of my favourites – after all, why invest in lots of individual products, when one can do it all?
Products that can be used across eyes, lips and cheeks are having a moment – with multitasking formulas like Milk Makeup Jelly Tints creating one of the biggest social media coups we’ve ever seen.
The Revolution Balm Glow can be used across your entire face to create a flattering, dewy flush that’ll stay put all day.
And the best bit? You don’t even need to invest in a brush, thanks to the formula’s easy-blend, balm texture.
Shoppers love its glossy finish, with one saying “This gives a really lovely glow, very soft, very beautiful,” while another adds “lasts for hours and hours”.
Fans can’t help but notice its similarities with Jones Road Beauty Miracle Balm (£36), founded by beauty authority Bobbi Brown.
People have taken to social media to rave about the similarities with one adding “For 6 dollars it’s the same, smell and texture is a little softer”.
Revolution Pro Miracle Night Rescue Serum Advanced Complex DUPE OF: Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum
Revolution Pro Miracle Night Rescue Serum Advanced Complex, £12
Google searches for hyaluronic acid have increased by 500%, according to Google Trends – and it’s little wonder why.
Known to hold over 1000 times its weight in water, the skincare ingredient floods the skin with moisture.
Unlike other skincare ingredients, it’s safe and suitable for all skin types, including those with sensitive skin.
Several overnight serums harness the power of hyaluronic acid to refresh and hydrate the skin while you sleep, and Revolution Pro Miracle Night Rescue Serum Advanced Complex is no exception.
The serum also features ceramides, for boosting the skin’s barrier, and peptides, for promoting texture, and shoppers can’t help but rave about its noticeable results.
One says, “Since I’ve been using it my skin has been much smoother in texture and super hydrated.” while another adds, “My skin feels and looks fresher”.
Shoppers have also noticed that it offers similar results to Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair (from £65), an overnight serum best known for boosting skin elasticity, hydration and skin renewal.
One shopper says “It looks and feels very similar to Estée Lauder products but for a fraction of the price”, while another adds “Estee Lauder dupe but even better and even better price”.
Revolution Pro miracle cream DUPE OF: Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream
Revolution Pro Miracle Cream, £7.50
The Revolution Pro Miracle Cream is possibly the brand’s most talked-about product.
And there’s one clear reason why: fans keep comparing it to Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream (from £52) .
Magic Cream is one of the internet’s most viral beauty products, with the brand selling one a minute in 2023.
Promising instant results, Revolution’s Miracle Cream plumps skin and smoothes fine lines, leaving skin looking refreshed and youthful.
Despite being sceptical at first, I’ve never found a moisturiser that leaves my skin looking quite as glowy as Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream.
However, shoppers have found the ultimate dupe, and it’s £69 cheaper than the real deal.
Formulated with hyaluronic and vitamin C, The Revolution Pro Miracle Cream hydrates and boosts glow simultaneously, and some shoppers have even noticed instant results.
One says “My skin appears to drink it in and feels soft and smooth after applying it,” while another adds “This cream is a game changer; forget Charlotte Tilbury Magic cream”.
Revolution Pro Miracle Vegan Collagen Cleansing Balm DUPE OF: Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm
Revolution Pro Miracle Vegan Collagen Cleansing Balm, £15
If you have trouble removing your make-up, switch to a cleansing balm.
These hardworking formulas melt away tough and heavy make-up without being overly drying or irritating.
Most formulas are suitable for both dry and oily skin, and the Revolution Pro Miracle Vegan Collagen Cleansing Balm is no exception.
A small dollop of this formula will gently lift away heavy eyewear, glitter and SPF but won’t leave your skin feeling parched.
Shoppers agree, with one saying, “Doesn’t leave any residue, comes with a cleansing cloth and is a great size for the price”.
Other shoppers have noticed its similarities to Elemis Cleansing Balm – which will set you back £49.
This cleanser shot to social media stardom for its hydrating formula that leaves skin calm and smooth – and even Molly-Mae Hague and Stacey Solomon are reportedly fans.
One shopper says “The best dupe!”, adding “A cheaper alternative to the very expensive cleansing balm”.
While the Revolution Cleansing Balm has a slightly thicker consistency compared to Elemis, it’s still effective at removing makeup.
One shopper even raved “This cleansing balm is effective at removing makeup”.
Makeup Revolution Beam Bright Highlighter DUPE OF: FENTY BEAUTY Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil
Makeup Revolution Beam Bright Highlighter, £6.99
I’ve always been very vocal about my thoughts on highlighters – as most formulas are much too glittery for my liking.
However, there are several formulas out there that I’ll make an exception for, and the Makeup Revolution Beam Bright Highlighter is one of them.
Available in four shades – from stunning rose gold to shimmering golds – they’re easy to build up and blend, meaning they’re perfectly suitable for both a daytime and going-out-out look.
My favourite shade is rose lustre, which has a soft, rose-gold hue, and just the right amount of shimmer without being overly glittery.
I typically use a small blending brush to tap it onto the end of my nose, inner corners, and cheekbones.
The formula also looks gorgeous applied over a matte eyeshadow, for a pop of shimmer that instantly lifts any eye look.
With its pigmented shimmer and buttery-smooth formula, fans have likened it to Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil (£32).
These highlighters have a soft, muted finish and can be used to highlight high points of the face, or applied all over for an enviable glow.
Whilst the Revolution highlighters pack a bit more punch, meaning results are much less natural, and are a little more glittery, they’re a great alternative – and over £25 cheaper.
Revolution Pro Bright Light Bronzing Drops DUPE OF: Drunk Elephant O-Bloos Rosi Drops
Revolution Pro Bright Light Bronzing Drops, £9.99
Bronzing drops are the ultimate do-it-all product.
They can be used to provide a subtle all-over glow, a colour pop for your cheeks or can be used to highlight your collarbones.
These products tend to have a lightweight, fluid consistency that can be mixed into creams or foundations or blended directly into the skin.
Drunk Elephant has arguably been the ringleader behind this trend – with the brand’s bronzing D-Bronzi Drops and blusher O-Bloos Rosi Drops (£34) taking the internet (and our wallets) by storm.
However, Revolution Pro has just launched a range of four bronzing and blush drops, which are set to rival pricier, cult brands like Drunk Elephant.
With a shade lineup that spans coral pink to bronze, the drops have a slightly thicker, whipped texture and unlike other alternatives, Revolution Pro Bright Light Bronzing Drops don’t have a liquid texture, meaning they’re cleaner to use and transport.
My favourite shade is Rosie Pink, a pretty, floral pink with coral undertones.
I typically squeeze the formula onto the back of my hand, then tap across my cheekbones for an instant flush that doesn’t require much blending.
The formula has a balm-like finish, which offers a bit of a glow, without being greasy.
I’m not usually a fan of scented make-up, but Revolution’s subtle, fresh aroma isn’t overpowering or too irritating.
