My beloved mum died in a car crash and I just found out my fiance VACUUMED up her ashes & dumped them in the bin
WE all make mistakes in relationships, with arguments over household chores and whose turn it is to pick what your watch on telly.
One woman is struggling to forgive her fiancé after he accidentally knocked over her mum’s ashes – and then decided to vacuum them up.
The woman was devastated to find out what her fiancé had done[/caption] Ironically, she’d begged him not to clean their flat before the incident[/caption]Still in shock at what happened though, the woman vented on Reddit and confessed that it felt good to share the ‘bizarre’ incident.
It began when her mum had passed away in a car accident that that devastated the entire family three years ago.
Though her fiancé tried his best to comfort her, the poster revealed that the 28-year-old struggled to help her and this became so fraught that he moved out for a few weeks.
Desperate to make it up to her, the 28-year-old tried to make amends and the couple began planning their future together – including a wedding.
For the next three years, the urn stayed in their apartment while the grieving Redditor and her sister decided what to do with it (you can see where this is going).
Rather than leaving the memorial untouched though, her picky partner had been determined to clean it along with the rest of the apartment.
She explained: “He’s a very neat person who likes everything sanitized. He gets nervous with dust on things. I helped him but he’s very specific about cleaning.”
Ignoring his partner’s wishes, the 28-year-old cleaned the memorial and ripped the bag with the ashes spilling over the shag carpet.
Unsure what to do, he quickly vacuumed up the remains and disposed of the evidence – hoping that his fiancé would never know.

26-year-old
It wasn’t until a few months that she uncovered the truth, telling the forum: “Instead of returning them to the urn he dumped the vacuum contents into the trash.
“When I asked why he didn’t just return them to the urn after vacuuming he stared at the floor.”
She revealed that he’d even placed a ziploc bag of sand in the urn, adding: “He put my mom in the trash. I really hate him right now.”
Unsurprisingly, the internet has had some wild reactions to the story with most users begging the poster to dump her other half.
He even disposed of the evidence, refusing to tell his other half for months[/caption] To make matters worse, he’d replace the ashes with a ziploc bag of sand[/caption]One even pointedly wrote: “Your mother , in her death, saved you from marrying this dogs**t.
“It is her wonderful gift to you. Her ashes saved you from committing to a man that will make your life a living hell.”
They added: “Plant a tree in a special place and dedicate it to her memory. Dump the boyfriend.”
Others refused to believe the boyfriend’s story.
He was literally jealous of your deceased mom’s remains.”

“Either he did it on purpose and he’s a sociopath, or it was accidental and he’s such an absolute incompetent buffoon that marrying him is a liability,” added another.
“Either one should be grounds for dismissal.”
A third argued that the relationship wasn’t worth salvaging.
They said: “His action sounds intentional. There’s no reason whatsoever to remove the contents of an urn to clean it and around it.
“I wonder if his lizard brain thought getting rid of your mom’s ashes would help you ‘get over’ losing her. Either that, or he was literally jealous of your deceased mom’s remains.”
“Regardless, he’s not worth any more of your time.”
We couldn’t agree more.
