RARE Beauty is the beauty brainchild of Selena Gomez, which launched in the UK in 2022 after much anticipation and swiftly garnered mega sell-out status.
So it comes as no surprise shoppers are trying to seek out the best Rare Beauty dupes.
Rare Beauty’s most coveted products include the array of blushers, both liquid and cream textures, lip tints and oils, as well as concealer, primer, tinted moisturiser, and, quite frankly, everything in between.
So of course, it was only a matter of time before we all started hunting for affordable Rare Beauty dupes to save cash, or while we waited for the Rare Beauty version to come back in stock.

We have tried and tested a variety of the Rare Beauty favourites and must admit we couldn’t fault it, from lip-to-cheek products to mascaras and body care.
The make-up cosmetics glide onto the skin seamlessly and are lightweight, super blendable and buildable (particularly the blushers, bronzers and lip products), so they let your skin breathe underneath without feeling claggy.
The Rare Beauty blushers have had us in a chokehold ever since they launched, as they are velvety soft on the skin, and felt like we weren’t wearing anything they were that lightweight.
While the eye make-up is equally as impressive for a natural or glam look.
Plus, Rare Beauty’s recent body care and wellness products have also impressed us, particularly the calming aromatherapy balm.

We have trialled Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Liquid Blush and it truly does live up to their description of being a long-lasting blusher.
The liquid blusher is super pigmented and a little goes a long way, which means we can saviour the £22 blusher a little longer.
The nourishing formula is super lightweight, and easy to blend, whether, plus it’s buildable, which is perfect for those who like a bold blush.
The e.l.f. cosmetics Liquid Blush has attracted a lot of attention on TikTok, and other social media platforms, for its likeness to the Rare Beauty alternative.
The e.l.f cosmetics creation promises a lightweight formula, which gives a soft and dewy finish after use, though it is also buildable and easy to blend for those who want a stronger pigment.
A Boots shopper who secured the e.l.f blusher pinpointed the similarity between the high street label and celebrity-founded brand, as one review read: “LOVE!!! I got the shade ‘bronze bombshell’ and it is SO pigmented. the consistency and amount of colour is comparable to the much pricier Rare Beauty blush.”

Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil is another firm favourite of ours. A gorgeous, nourishing lip oil it rarely leaves our handbags.
The best part is the nourishing lip oil has a subtle tint of colour, but leaves the lips looking natural too.
Infused with jojoba and sunflower seed oil, which provides the necessary hydration our cracked and chapped lips need all year round.
NYX provides stiff competition in the lip category as we turn to the affordable beauty brand for almost all of our lip products.
Social media users have been likening NYX Professional Makeup Fat Oil Lip Drip Lip Gloss to the Rare Beauty alternative, as it provides a glossy wet look, yet still hydrates the lips thanks to the infusion of cloudberry, raspberry oil and squalane.
However, the latter has been described as a lip oil and gloss hybrid, which gives the illusion of plumper lips, but is non-sticky, and comes in at under £10.
One happy NYX shopper commented: “I saw this trending all over TikTok and had to give it a go and I’m obsessed! The shade newsfeed is perfect for a subtle colour, it’s not as bright as it seems in the packaging. Will be buying other colours.”

Finding an eyebrow product that fixes your brows in place, without feeling like they have been glued to your forehead, or leave a residue is a hard find.
The Rare Beauty Flexible Lifting Gel claims to be a lightweight formula that sets your brows in place throughout the day for a groomed look.
The water-based formula promises to hold the eyebrows up, but without gluing them in place so it is a more comfortable wear.
While the Collection incrediBROW Brow Glue may put some people off with the name, it doesn’t create the glue-like effect as some eyebrow products we have tried.
The Collection Brow Glue brushes through our bushy brows effortlessly picks up even the smaller hairs at the ends of my brows and holds them in place.
What I love about the Collection Brow Glue is it creates a natural look and there is no sign I have put anything on my brows – no residue, no hairs clumping together, and no hard finish.
Even if I put a beanie hat on, or tried to brush my brows out of place, they barely budge. It’s a genius formula!
RARE BEAUTY: Bronzer Stick DUPE: Morphe M2 Sun and Done smooth-gliding bronzer stick

I have a soft spot for multipurpose beauty sticks, as they help to create any make-up look, natural or more glamorous full face, they are compact to take on the go, and can be used on your cheeks, lids and lips should you wish.
I have tried and tested an array of multipurpose sticks from Rare Beauty, as well as MILK Makeup, NudeStix, Huda Beauty, and Jones Road.
Rare Beauty’s Bronzer Stick is a failsafe essential in my everyday make-up bag, as it is super lightweight, well pigmented, and easy to blend out too.
The Rare Beauty Beauty Stick can be blended with powder and other cream or liquid products, it is lightweight so I feel my skin is not layered in foundation or bronzer.
Similar to Rare Beauty’s bronzer stick, Morphe’s M2 Sun and Done smooth-gliding bronzer stick have been described as lightweight and non-greasy – and is less than half the price.
It has been formulated with skin-loving ingredients, including vitamin E, jojoba oil and almond oils to leave the skin hydrated and glowing inside and on the surface.
RARE BEAUTY: Positive Light Liquid Luminizer DUPE: L’Oreal Paris Paradise Lumi Glotion

We have tried both Rare Beauty’s Positive Light Liquid Luminizer and L’Oreal Paris’ Paradise Lumi Glotion in recent weeks, and every time we do we receive huge compliments on our “glass” skin.
I use both luminizers in a variety of ways: applied to my cheekbones and brow bones for a highlighter finish and added glow, blended into my moisturiser for a glowy base and layer other products on top, or worn directly on the skin for a superluminous complexion.
I have also tried combining L’Oreal’s creation with other colours to contour and highlight my skin.
Admittedly I preferred L’Oreal’s Lumi Glotion as it gave a flawless finish and added glow that lasted all day long, no matter how I applied it, yet didn’t leave a pearlescent finish, whereas Rare Beauty, when applied directly on the skin had a tendency to stick into pores or creases and wasn’t so natural or flawless.

We love blusher and will finish any make-up look, whether we opt for a natural aesthetic or full-on glam, it’s a must to add more dimension to my face and a pop of colour.
We have tried various shades in the Rare Beauty Melting Blush, which impressed us with its velvet finish that was super soft on the skin and added a flush of colour.
It was super easy to blend, build, and, most importantly, apply the blusher, whether it was with our fingers, a brush or a beauty blender. Plus, it did not cake, crease or clog our pores.
e.l.f cosmetics’ Luminous Putty Blush is a dupe some have put on our radar, as it is a highly pigmented, yet lightweight creamy formula.
The blusher is infused with hydrating and soothing argan oil and vitamin E, which gives our skin some TLC while also working topically to brighten our complexion.

Rare Beauty’s Lip Souffle Matte Lip Cream was one of the first products to drop from the line and a personal favourite of ours.
The texture is velvety soft, easy to apply and well pigmented, but does not dry matte – despite the name, but more of a cream.
Whereas some matte lip products can dry into our lips, this glides over our lips seamlessly, it is also long-lasting.
Rare Beauty and NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream are super similar and are the two brands I alternate between when completing a full face of makeup, whether I am heading to work, for a catch-up with friends, or for dinner and drinks.
The Soft Matte Lip Cream has been a popular product for many beauty buffs and has remained a favourite of ours for years.
The NYX creation comes in 16 colours, with Abu Dhabi among the favourites, whereas the Rare Beauty is available, currently, in 12 hues.
Both are super long-lasting, even when we eat and drink, and are easy to apply, though the NYX version is more compact to take with you or sneak into a pocket, you may find you run out and need to stock up more often than Rare Beauty.
RARE BEAUTY: Perfect Strokes Matte Liquid Liner DUPE: Eyeko Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner

Rare Beauty’s Perfect Strokes Matte Liquid Liner is a super compact liquid eyeliner that helps to create super smooth eyeliner flicks – even for those, like us, who have an unsteady hand.
The formulation is super nourishing and not irritating, and the pen itself is made from 800 vegan bristles, which makes it super soft, flexible and gentle on the skin, without irritating the delicate eye area.
The Eyeko Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner is on sale for almost half the price of Rare Beauty’s Liquid Eyeliner, which is super appealing, both brands are cruelty-free and vegan.
The Eyeko design also boasts a narrow tip to help with precision but is a slightly more juicy formulation delivering a strongly pigmented sweep of liner instantly – even on the slightest touch.
The Eyeko creation is super compact, and, in comparison to Rare Beauty is a fraction of the size, perfect to take on the go.
Both are super long-wearing and while we may not have the steadiest hand to apply the perfect wing eyeliner, Eyeko tends to stay for longer, create a thinner line and is quick drying too.
RARE BEAUTY: Find Comfort Stop and Soother Aromatherapy Pen DUPE: Tisserand Total De-Stress Roller Ball

We love an aromatherapy pen, to help de-stress, calm us, or help to soothe us off to sleep.
Rare Beauty’s Find Comfort Stop and Soother Aromatherapy Pen is a compact design perfect to take on the go, keep in a pocket or in a bag to keep those nerves at bay.
Infused with tonka bean, peppermint and lavender, this scent is not only calming but also smells divine – and unlike other aromatherapy creations we have sampled. We’d liken it more to a perfume than a soothing pen, though it did work to calm my mind.
Another plus point is the formula is non-sticky or greasy, but easily absorbs into the skin, plus it is super discreet too.
We have also been trialling Tisserand’s Roller Ball soothing design, which includes patchouli, orange and rose oil, to calm the mind, though this is a slightly more slippery and oily feel than Rare Beauty.
RARE BEAUTY: Perfect Strokes Volumising Mascara DUPE: L’Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Mascara

Rare Beauty’s Perfect Strokes Volumising Mascara has been a recent addition to our Rare Beauty collection.
It is super pigmented and works to lengthen and volumise our lashes in a few sweeps, as the bristle brush is fitted with two lengths to reach the long and shorter length lashes for fuller coverage.
However, if you’re looking for a dupe, we’d turn to L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes, which is a firm favourite of ours, and one we often run out of and race to the shops to stock up on once again.
The brush is thicker in the middle and narrows at the end so it doesn’t catch on the eyelids when trying to get those inner lashes, plus it provides an even coat of mascara thanks to the long and fanned-out, voluminous lashes.
If you are looking for extra volume, the L’Oreal design achieves precisely that.
RARE BEAUTY: Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer DUPE: Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Eraser Concealer

If we were stranded on a desert island concealer would be the one make-up product we would request.
Rare Beauty has a variety of concealers, including the Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer, which we think looks similar to the foundation, as well as the Positive Light Under Eye Brightener.
The Liquid Touch provides fuller coverage to hide dark circles, blemishes, pigmentation and even brown spots effortlessly.
While it is a lightweight formula it is buildable, so you can achieve a second skin finish or fuller coverage, and comes in shades to match the Liquid Touch Foundation.
Maybelline’s Instant Anti Age Eraser Concealer is hugely popular, and one that has garnered high praise from shoppers on numerous retailers.
It features a soft sponge head to make for soft application, but also to control the amount of product that is released, though some may think this means a waste of product.
The Maybelline design has been praised for helping to provide the necessary coverage, but also doubling up as a concealer, foundation, highlighter and contour, depending on the shade you select.
We go through concealer like no other, so if you’re the same, it may be worth shopping for the more affordable option to save you some pennies on the repeated purchase.

Rare Beauty has recently launched the Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush, which has been described as a happy medium between a blusher and highlighter, as it works to brighten the complexion through the pop of colour and pearlescent pigment.
It is a featherlight texture on the skin, is easy to apply on the apple of the cheeks, and even dusts over the eyelids for a fresh-faced look.
It is also buildable, which is ideal for those who like a more flushed look, though a light dusting will make for a natural look. Plus it is compact enough to take in your bag for a little top-up, should you need it.
Revolution gets high praise from shoppers because of the array of products that resemble more high-end beauty buys, such as Charlotte Tilbury dupes, and now Rare Beauty.
The pressed powder is super lightweight on the skin and comes in a variety of colours to suit your preference.
What we love is it is also buildable perfect to take you from day to night with just a few extra layers.
Unlike Rare Beauty the Revolution Blusher is not so pearlescent, so if.
If you are looking for a natural flush it would be great, but if you want a pop of colour and a pop of highlighter to accentuate your bone structure the former may be the dealbreaker.
