How Reese Witherspoon uses her ears to look younger and it’s a trick we can all do, according to a celeb hairdresser
MILLIONS of women all around the world are constantly searching for ways to make themselves look younger.
But instead of spending tonnes on pricey skincare products and even injectables, there’s a completely free hack that can take years off.
According to celebrity hairdresser Gustav Fouche, we just need to look at stars like Reese Witherspoon and Meryl Streep to see how effective the clever trick is.
The hair pro explained that regardless of your hairstyle, all you need to do is tuck your locks behind your ears to turn back the clock.
“Revealing your ears might seem like a minor change, but it can work wonders in making you appear younger,” Gustav said.
He also said that the trick is his “red carpet secret”, which he regularly uses when he’s working with celebrities.
By showing off your ears, you open up the face and draw attention to facial features such as the cheekbones and jawline – commonly linked to the idea of youthfulness.
In addition, it highlights the apples of the cheek which, combined with blusher, makes the skin look plump and smooth.
Reese regularly draws attention to her hair on the red carpet – whether she’s got her locks up or down.
When they’re left loose, The Morning Show star often tucks her hair behind her ears symmetrically.
Or she goes for an asymmetric look, tucking just one side – but still achieving a similar effect.
Reese spoke recently about her trademark blonde hair, as she revealed she spends three hours at the hairdresser every seven weeks to maintain a bright look.
“Lorri Goddard has been my colourist for 15 years and has taken me from blonde to red to brown, back to blonde,” she told Allure.
“She’s meticulous about the balayage process and puts oil on the roots and tips so they don’t break.
“But it takes three hours to have my highlights done, no joke. I go every seven or eight weeks.
“I’m starting to get gray around the edges of my hairline. Lorri doesn’t like to call them grays, though.
“She says they’re ‘hyper-blondes’!”
