Well this is exciting: Duke and Kansas are working on an agreement to play in Las Vegas this fall, according to Jon Rothstein.
Looks like the plan is to incorporate that into the return trip to Arizona after the Wildcats came to Cameron this past fall.
Duke and Kansas has been interesting for years. They met in 1991 in the championship game of course but before that in 1988, Danny Manning’s team knocked out Danny Ferry’s team.
The teams have played several times in recent years between the Champions Classic and Hawaii among other places.
It looks like Hunter Dickinson will be back and Bill Self is a superb coach who always has a solid group.
It’ll be fairly early in the Year of Flagg, so the hype is likely to be quite high for this particular game.
When things settle down and rosters get sorted out, we’ll revisit the matchup - assuming everything works out in the negotiations.
