Poughkeepsie man arrested on drug, gun charges
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Poughkeepsie man has been arrested following a drug sale investigation, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Jaylen Shaw, 22, is facing multiple charges.
An extensive investigation conducted by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force led to a search warrant being executed at Shaw's home at Pendell Commons in Poughkeepsie on April 18. As a result of the search, Shaw was found to be in possession of a loaded illegal handgun, over 1,000 rounds of ammunition, packaging materials and large quantities of crack cocaine and cash.
Shaw was taken into custody before being transported to the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court, where he was then released. He is due back in court at a later date. He faces the following charges:

- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Criminal possession of a firearm
- Third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance
