43rd annual 'Take Back the Night' rally held Thursday
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The 43rd annual "Take Back the Night Rally and March Against Sexual Violence" (Take Back the Night) event will happen Thursday night from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Washington Park Lake House on Madison Avenue in Albany. This year's theme focuses on building strong, connected communities to ensure the safety and well-being of others to try and end sexual violence.
Take Back the Night is a nationally recognized event aiming to raise awareness against sexual violence and highlight the resiliency of the human spirit. The event encourages the reclamation of power and control taken away from people in the community and across the world.
At the event, there will also be community tabling, food trucks, live performances, and a survivor will speak out.
