A HAIRDRESSER has revealed she won’t shame you for buying cheap haircare – and the ones she actually recommends grabbing.
Mary, a hairdresser from the UK, took to social media to share her go-to high street buys – and they cost as little as £2.75.

“You can buy decent products from Boots.”
She went on to say that most hairdressers will tell you to avoid buying form the high street and even shame you for doing so – but Mary wasn’t about that.
Instead, she revealed her favourite budget-friendly haircare liens she swears by if you don’t want to fork out on the likes of Olaplex.
She started off by recommending L’Oreal – in particular the Elvive Hydra Hyaluronic range.

In particular, Mary said she loved the 8 Second Wonder Water – a pre-conditioning treatment that makes her extra smooth and nourished and costs just £5.99.
She also loved the shampoo and conditioner form the range with both cost just £2.75 a bottle.
For those with more oily locks, the hair expert loved the Hydra Pure line which is perfect for dehydrated hair and oily scalps.
Those looking for a cheap anti-dandruff shampoo that doesn’t dry out the hair – Mary also recommended the Vichy Dercos range.
She said these two L’Oreal ranges were perfect and came at a great price point[/caption]“This is a great range because it targets the scalp and scalp health,” she explained.
“For this price point, incredible.”
Ladies with curly hair looking for extra moisture should try out Shea Moisture said the hairdresser.
The clip posted to her TikTok account @thisgirldoeshair has since gone viral with over 374k views and 18k likes.
People were quick to take to the comments thanking Mary for her recommendations and asking for more advice.

Tips for styling thinning hair

She revealed to The U.S. Sun how to protect hair from further loss.
Hairstyles
Sey recommended opting for a top knot or loosely braided ponytail over styles that tension strands.
She also advised to limit the use of heat tools such as a hair dryer or straightener.
Those who have afro hair, should avoid braids or consider larger braids.
DIY treatments
The trichologist said hair should be washed regularly and trimmed every six weeks.
She recommended using hair oils to help “improve scalp circulation and follicles.”
