Relay Wants Your Phone to be a Wallet and Twitter a Shop | WIRED Retail | WIRED
When you see a product you like on Twitter Stripe wants you to be able to select it, see what other colours and styles are available, then buy it -- all the while staying just a couple of clicks away from your feed. With card and shipping details saved on your phone or within the app you'll never have to go through multiple "pay now" screens again.

This is Relay and it allows apps to handle anonymous payment information, the latest part of Stripe's plan to create a mobile space for retail. Retailers currently using the technology include Warby Parker, Best Buy and Adidas.
Currently, less than five percent of all transactions take place online, and only 15 percent of those go through mobile, James Allgrove, head of UK growth at e-commerce business Stripe, told WIRED Retail. That's in spite of 60 percent of all browsing taking place on mobile devices.
