So, when shoppers discovered Aldi’s Bacon Mayo are back in stores they were understandably overjoyed.
And it’s not just the classic Bacon Mayo you can get your hands on either.
There is also Caramelised Onion Mayo and Smokey Bacon Ketchup – perfect for summer BBQs or just to add some flavour to your weekday dinner.
A spokesperson for Aldi said: “Aldi’s Bacon Mayo, as well as other flavours in this a-mayo-nnaising range, are available in stores now for just 89p.
“The Bacon Mayo comes just as Heinz launches new Smokey Bacon Ketchup but Aldi’s twist on a classic is a whopping 51% cheaper (based on 250ml).
“With bacon being a popular breakfast staple for years coupled with the popularity of mayonnaise, Aldi’s Bacon Mayo is the perfect pairing and has been brought back to shelves after popular demand.”
Shoppers are already going wild for its return on social media, with one foodie sharing a snap of the range on Instagram.
And with sauce-connoisseurs took to the comments to rave about the range, one said: “Who’s got the sauce!”
“The bacon mayo is sensational on burgers,” a second exclaimed.
And that’s not the only Aldi bargain shoppers have been raving about recently, the supermarket recently came out with a flat bottle of wine in a plastic bottle that’s perfect for weekends away.
One Aldi fan took to social media to share the find produced by Chapter & Verse for the store.
She said: “What is going on, Aldi?
“Bottles of wine, plastic like this so you can lay them in your suitcase!
“So if any of you are going on hen do’s, girls, nights out, stag do’s, holidays and you wanna put some drink in your suitcase…
“You now have these bottles that are plastic and lay flat!
“How flipping clever is that? This is a Shiraz.”
Wendy added that she couldn’t find the Chardonnay, and thinks it may have sold out, but snapped up the red one as soon as she spotted it.
“I mean, this is just pure genius!” she concluded.
When's the best time to shop at Aldi?
WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.
For reduced items – when shops open
Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.
A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates.”
That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens.
Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.
For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays
Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.
New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.
For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.
You don’t have to head into stores to bag a Specialbuy, though.
They also go on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can pre-order them up to a week in advance.
As long as you spend at least £25, you’ll get the items delivered for free.
Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible
