Asda makes ‘game changing’ tweak to their trollies so handy that parents are begging to get their own version at home
ASDA has been praised for making a “game changing” tweak to their trollies that makes them perfect for bigger families.
Keeping kids contained during outings to supermarkets is never easy, so many parents choose to use the trolleys with the seats at the front to make the trip slightly more enjoyable for everyone.
However, while there have always been options for two children to sit at the front, two babies, a baby and a toddler, a wheelchair user and a baby, a wheelchair user and a toddler – families with more than two young children were often left out.
So it’s no wonder the Galbally family were so thrilled when they headed to their local Asda to try out the triplet trolley for the first time.
How to save on your supermarket shop
THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.
You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they’ve been reduced.
If the food is fresh, you’ll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.
Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.
Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.
This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “own” or value” type of lines.
Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.
For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.
If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.
Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.
In a video on TikTok, the dad-of-four showed how there was one triplet in the back seat, two in the front and then their older toddler Henry in the main part of the trolley.
“They’re all in here!” he said.
“And off we go!”
The children could all be seen beaming and giggling as their dad pushed them along, as he remarked: “We need to take this home!”
“I think I like it,” he concluded
“Triplet trolley at Asda – game changer!” he captioned the video.
People were quick to comment on the clip, with one writing: “Brilliant for you!”
“Aww their smiles, they’re absolutely loving it!” another laughed.
“Why does dad sound like he’s having so much fun?” someone else commented.
“Love it!”
“I had one of these for my triplets in our local Asda – that was 13 years ago,” another wrote.
In fact, triplet trolleys are unique to each store, and can be requested by parents at their local supermarket – just one of the ways Asda are taking customer service to another level.
“We’re pleased to see the Galbally Family are fans of the triplet trolley!” an Asda spokesperson said.
“Any customers looking for a similar trolley should speak to our colleagues in store who will be able to assist.”
