Protesters block I5 in Eugene Monday morning

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Interstate 5 southbound in Eugene was blocked by protesters Monday morning, officials said.
According to the Oregon Department of Transportation, law enforcement responded to the scene near milepost 194, and the southbound lanes were completely closed.
Oregon State Police said that they ordered the protesters to disperse and eventually dozens of people were arrested for disorderly conduct.
Authorities said the road was blocked for 45 minutes before being opened again, with law enforcement staying at the scene to monitor.
