Troy woman charged with Brunswick burglary
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Troy woman has been arrested following a burglary investigation, according to New York State Police. Rebekah Arney, 30, is facing multiple charges.
On September 25, 2023, state police responded to a home in Brunswick for the report of a past occurring robbery. The ensuing investigation revealed that Arney allegedly forced entry into an unoccupied house, resulting in considerable damage to the home itself and to items inside.
The Brunswick Town Court issued a warrant for Arney's arrest following the investigation. She was found within the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility being held for an unrelated incident.
Arney was arrested on March 28 and arraigned at the Brunswick Town Court before being returned to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility. She was charged with third-degree burglary, second and third-degree criminal tampering and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
