The wee Hibees fell to a disappointing 4-2 defeat at the hands of Aberdeen on Friday night.
Darren McGregor’s side came out second best against the Dons at HTC with the visitors scoring two goals in each half to secure the points.
The Hibees took the lead on 22 minutes after Dean Cleland bundled home Jacob MacIntyre’s cross from close range.

Hibs goalkeeper Ryan Mallon pulled off an excellent save moments later to preserve our lead, however the Dons equalised soon after through Joseph Teasdale.
The visitors then took the lead from a set-piece just before the break. Aberdeen striker, Fraser Mackie was quickest to react in the box, pouncing on a loose ball and poking the ball past Mallon.
The Hibees hit the woodwork early in the second period but Aberdeen increased their advantage through Timothy Akindileni’s header.
The Dons added a fourth midway through the second half with Teasdale grabbing his second of the evening – his strike cannoning in off the bar and into the net.

Jamie McMurdo pulled one back for the Hibees in the closing stages – with a brilliant strike from distance – but it turned out to be only consolation as the visitors claimed all three points.
