COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Columbus police are looking for a driver involved in a hit-skip that took place just north of the Ohio State campus.
According to an incident report, just before midnight Sunday night, an unidentified adult was operating a scooter, traveling southbound on North High Street near the intersection of West Northwood Avenue in the North Campus area. At the same time a dark colored vehicle was traveling northbound on North High Street and attempted to turn left at the intersection.
The vehicle struck the scooter, resulting in serious injuries for the scooter operator, who was taken to OSU Wexner Medical Center. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, continuing westbound on West Northwood Avenue toward Tuttle Park.
