FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Happy Monday!
We have got a very messy couple of days ahead of us as we usher in the first week of April. Expect morning rain showers Monday, gradually tapering by about mid-morning, with several dry hours through the afternoon. Highs top out in the lower 60s. We'll then see more heavy rain and thunderstorms arriving this evening and overnight through Tuesday morning.
Heavy rain lasts through the Tuesday morning commute, then we'll see a couple of dry hours during the middle of the day. That is before more rain and storms roll in Tuesday evening and night as a cold front works through the region. Highs stick in the lower 60s.
We do have a severe weather threat starting Monday evening and lasting through Tuesday night. Primary threats will be flooding, frequent lightning, as well as gusty winds and hail. We have a low-end but not non-existent tornado threat as well.

By Wednesday, we get much colder behind that cold front, and we're looking at a scattered, wet wintry mix. Highs drop back to the middle 40s.
We've got a few lingering showers lasting into Thursday, with highs sticking in the middle 40s.
By Friday, we're starting to clear up. Just an isolated shower chance or two, with highs in the mid to upper 40s.
The weekend is looking much better than the workweek!
